How to send large files
Email attachments stop at a few megabytes, and most "large file" services ask both sides to make an account first. Transferify does neither: you open the site, drop the files in, and send a link.
Two ways to send, and when to pick each
Transferify has two transfer modes, and the right one depends on whether you can keep the tab open.

Sending a large file
- Open Transferify and drop your files onto the page.
- Confirm your email with a one-time code — there is no password to choose.
- Choose instant peer-to-peer or a hosted link.
- Share the link. The recipient opens it in any browser and the download starts.
What "encrypted" means here
Peer-to-peer files never touch our servers — they stream directly between the two browsers, end to end encrypted. Hosted files are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before they are uploaded, and stay encrypted at rest.
By default we hold that key, wrapped by a cloud managed encryption key, so a link stays recoverable if you lose the original tab. With Zero-Knowledge mode, available on the Premium plan, the key never reaches us at all, which means we cannot read the file — and cannot recover it for you either.
Limits and plans
Instant peer-to-peer transfers are free up to 5 GB on the free plan; above that, a one-off €1.99 per transfer (£1.99 if you pay in pounds) unlocks any size, and paid plans have no Instant limit. Hosted links have a per-plan upload size, an expiry window and a recipient count; the current figures for every plan are on the pricing page, which reads them from the same catalogue the product enforces.

Frequently asked questions
Do recipients need an account to download?
No. Anyone with the link can download — nothing to sign up for, nothing to install. Recipients just open the link in their browser. Only the sender confirms an email.
Are large files encrypted?
Yes. Peer-to-peer transfers are end-to-end encrypted and stream directly between browsers. Hosted files are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before upload, and stored encrypted at rest.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Transferify runs in the browser you already have, on desktop and on mobile.
