Send drawings, quotes and site photos

A job file never goes out on its own. In the same week the office sends PDF sheets and .dwg files for the services layout, a quote with the take-off attached, a few hundred handover photos, and a clip filmed from the scaffold to show where the work has got to. The client wants the quote and the photos, the site manager wants the valuation, the services subcontractor wants their own drawing, and the supplier wants the spec sheet that goes on the order.

Transferify covers the handover, not the running of the job. You build one package, choose how it travels, and send a link. Whoever receives it downloads from a browser, with no account. The programme, the correspondence log and the approvals stay where they are. What changes is the route the heavy files take between office, site and client.

One package per job and per stage

When the structural drawings, the quote and the photos from the last handover sit in one archive, somebody opens the wrong revision on a phone, in front of the client.

1. Open one package per job and per stage: tender, construction, handover.
2. Keep drawings that are not for circulation apart from what can go out to subcontractors.
3. Name the archive after the job, the stage and the date, not with initials only you read.
4. Put an index PDF in the package listing the files and the revision of each one.
5. Send the link in the same email that says which approval you are waiting for, and by when.

A hosted link for the client, instant transfer for big video

A hosted link is the default when the recipient opens it later. You upload once, send the address and close the laptop. The site manager downloads in the evening, the client the next morning, and the file is encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before it is uploaded.

Instant peer-to-peer transfer is for the material that goes over your plan's hosted allowance, usually drone footage or the whole photo set from a handover. It puts no limit on size, but delivery is synchronous: your browser and the recipient's stay connected until the end. The two modes sit side by side on the features page.

What each plan covers

On the free plan the number of transfers is not capped, but transfers that are still live share one storage allowance, and the size allowance is per transfer rather than a monthly budget. You get 50 downloads in a calendar month and links that stay open for 1 to 2 days. That covers a quote and a few drawings, not the photo file of a handover that three subcontractors keep open.

Extending the expiry of a transfer that has already gone out, and editing it after sending, start on the Plus plan. The current limits and prices are on the pricing page, which reads them from the same catalogue the product enforces.

Password, expiry and alerts on a quote

A quote with a price in it should not travel like a set of site photos. From the Basic plan you can ask for a password on download, cap how many times that transfer is downloaded, and get an email alert. The alert tells you whether and when it was downloaded, never who downloaded it, so do not treat it as proof that the client read the take-off. Ask for that confirmation separately.

Access time is set on each transfer: 1 to 2 days on the free plan, up to 7 days on Basic, up to 30 days on Plus, and on Premium up to 30 days or never. For a file with a retention deadline, still choose an end date, even though Premium also allows a link that never expires.

For the documentation of a job out to tender, Zero-Knowledge mode on the Premium plan keeps the contents unreadable to us, because the key stays only in the link you hand out. That is also the responsibility you take on with it: if the link is lost, nobody can recover the files.

A download page that looks like your firm

From the Plus plan you can take Transferify branding off the page your client opens. Premium adds your logo and colours to every delivery, a link address of your own and download statistics, which counts when you send quotes to new clients every week.
